CRESCENDO℠ AprilTag Sticker Packs

AprilTags are a part of the 2024 Field, used by vision systems to generate positioning data. AprilTag resources are available through FIRST for use with the roboRIO. FIRST also expects that many community solutions will likely be able to detect these tags as well.

The image on the sticker is 6.5 in. square with a varying sized white boarders depending on the tag. Stickers are made from matte vinyl and are sourced from the same vendor that makes the stickers for FIRST. 

For tags 1-10 the stickers are 10.5" square with notched corners to accommodate bolt heads. On a competition field these tags are affixed to a plate and the vinal is the exposed surface. 

For tags 11-16 the stickers are 9 inches square. On a competition field these tags are affixed to a sheetmetal part that is protected by a large polycarbonate sheet. AndyMark does not sell either of these components. Our recommendation for home fields is that these 6 tags should be affixed to a plate, and covered with a second plate to emulate the reflective properties of the polycarbonate on a competition field. As such TWO plates are included for these 6 tags in the bundles on this page.

• Peel the protective film off both sides of all the plates.
  • Ensure the plates are clean and dust free.  
• For tags 1-10 peel the tag off the backing material and affix it to the plate.
  • The plates are the same on both sides, but they have an alignment notch on one edge. Align the alignment notch on the sticker to the alignment notch on the plate. The sticker should be centered up and down as well as right to left on the plate. 
• For tags 11-16 peel the tag off the backing material and affix it to the plate.
  • The plates are the same on both sides, but they have an alignment notch on one edge. Align the alignment notch on the sticker to the alignment notch on the plate. The sticker should be biased all the way to the top and centered right to left on the plate.
    
  • Place a second plate over the image sandwiching the sticker between the plates. This sandwich should be attached to the field directly below the corresponding Flap.
