Performance, Rugged, Configurable
The TileRunner was designed with the FIRST Tech Challenge community in mine. The usage doesn't stop there, however, it can work well for many other robotic competition platforms of similar size. Years of lessons from designing, building, and competing with championship-winning drive systems have gone into this robust drive system that integrates well with teams' existing FTC parts.
Structure & Usage
A 15.75-inch by 11.34-inch perforated polycarbonate sheet acts as a belly pan in the TileRunner chassis. The sheet features 0.15-inch holes on a 16 mm square and has a thickness of 0.09 inches. This pan adds rigidity and a multitude of mounting locations for additional components like electronics!
The Peanut and Churro cross members can also be moved into a number of alternate locations to best suit your robot's configuration needs.
With three ratios of NeveRest motors and three PicoBox gearbox ratios, a TileRunner can achieve nine different speeds based on your needs for speed versus pushing power.

This platform has been developed around two main configurations: 6-wheel drop center, and 4-wheel mecanum. Mecanum variations allow for omnidirectional movement of your robot. No need for fancy manipulators or turrets when the robot can spin in place with precision or strafe sideways to score a game element. 6-wheel flavors provide the ultimate power in motor to ground power, with a plethora of options of wheel type.
The TileRunner has a wide variety of possible configurations. When selecting your options, rest assured we've considered all the pieces and parts you'll need for the build. You'll need only some tools and your favorite workspace. If you already have many of the components that make up a TileRunner we have options for you too!

Bundle part numbers show you the primary components within the bundle. The prefix "B" identifies that it is a configurable bundle and different than our other "am-" part numbers. Each position of the part number is a variable for a different part. Below is the breakdown of how these part numbers are built.
- The first position identifies the part number is a bundle
- B - Bundle
- The second position identifies the bundle type
- T - TileRunner
- The third position identifies the drive style:
- 6 - Six Wheel Drive
- 4 - Four Wheel Mecanum
- F - Frame Only (This is useful if you already have the components needed to make up a 4-wheel or 6-wheel drive.)
- The fourth and fifth positions together identify wheel type and style:
- S8 - 80A Stealth Wheels
- S6 - 60A Stealth Wheels
- S5 - 50A Stealth Wheels
- S4 - 40A Stealth Wheels
- PB - Performance Wheels with Tread
- OC - Corner Omni Wheels with 50A Center Stealth Wheels
- C6 - 60A Compliant Wheels
- C5 - 50A Compliant Wheels
- NW - No Wheels
- MH - HD Mecanum Wheels
- MS - SD Mecanum Wheels
- The sixth position identifies the type of NeveRest motor and the required plates:
- 6 - Classic 60:1
- 4 - Classic 40:1
- 2 - Orbital 20:1
- N - No NeveRest Motors or Plates (Already have NeveRest motors and PicoBoxes? Pick this option and save big!)
- P - Plates for all NeveRest Options (Have NeveRest motors but no PicoBoxes? Pick this option and you'll receive plates to handle orbital and classic NeveRest Motors.)
- The seventh position identifies the type of PicoBox gearing:
- 1 - Gearing for 1:1 Ratio
- A - Alternate Gearing for 7:9 or 9:7 Ratio
- E - All Gearing for 1:1 Ratio and 7:9/9:7
- N - No Gears
