Product Overview

This is a double solenoid, air-piloted, compact valve made by CKD. It's great for efficiently providing air to a small to medium sized actuator on mobile robots. This valve does not have any sort of base, as it mounts directly on the CKD manifold base (am-3982). Unlike previous versions like this valve the signal wires are NOT able to disconnected from the valve. As such we don't recommend you try to remove them.

    Oops

I had significant trouble and assembly is off robot now. Assembly was easy onto the manifold. Yay. Found we needed to buy connectors from A-M too bc not available at Grainger etc. Yay got em. Not enough room to install. The connectors too far when mounted in manifold. Hmm. Figured out why there was a peculiar kit of 8 connectors and 4 extenders. Bought. Arrived. Almost ok but still cannot grip down enough to prevent air leaks. Students tried and eventually begged to remove. Sad. Thought manifold would be tidy. Whole thing was pricey too, so at least now I have fresh room in BOM. Not really happy writing this. Seven years of good stuff at A-M. It needed to be said AndyMark Response: We are sorry to hear of your frustrations with the product.
