    Ultimate Goal half game

Hello, AndyMark, We received our Ultimate Goal half game set (blue), and have installed it on our 2/3-width virtual playing field. The installation went pretty well. The team was initially confused about how to install the vertical supports for the tower goal, but got it right on the second try. Also, the origami-like assembly of the return chute seemed too complex. The team assembled it 'wrong side out' the first time, then, after correcting it, decided that it wouldn't reliably let a ring pass completely through every time due to the obstructions caused by the tabs that held everything together and the curvatures they introduced. We ended up cutting off the tabs and fastening the unit together with duct tape. Overall, not terribly happy with the choice of coroplast for the return chute and ring catcher trays. Everything else was fine. Wobble goal rivets were good, plenty of zip ties were included, and no parts were missing. Our net was initially backordered, but arrived today.

    half field

The half field we received was good quality and what we expected. The ring return seemed to be for the other half that we did not get, but some ingenuity and tape made it work fine for our practices. The instructions (off the FIRST site) for putting it all together seem to be lacking.

    Everything fits!

Our half field required the usual finesse with loose screws while assembling, but all looks good now. Had a hiccup with the rings not being included, but they were sent out right away once I let AndyMark know. Thank you!

    Expected More

I was surprised at the low quality of this years' set. The corrugated plastic is cheap, and the assembly of the return chute where you have to mutilate the tabs to get them in the slots is terrible. I realize this is not AndyMark's fault, but whoever designed the set. Delivery was prompt, but we were missing one nylock nut for the goal legs. <br> AndyMark's Response: AndyMark is the provider for the FIRST Tech Challenge game set since 2015. New low for AndyMark

This is embarrassing at this point, foldable plastic? To think that this is being sold for $450 dollars is crazy, AndyMark has reached a new low, material quality has never been very high but this year it is the worst it has been. This years game pieces are junk. The ring traps are nothing but plastic coasted card board and the tabs that hold them together are junk. If you want to send us this junk, at least don't charge us $450 for it. Very disappointed in Andymark. AndyMark's Response: AndyMark is the provider for the FIRST Tech Challenge game set since 2015. Great Product, Hard to Assemble

The end product of the pieces looks fantastic and works perfectly. Except it is a pain to put together. It requires quite a bit of folding that can't be undone for storage. It was fun to see the parts work and it helped up create our robot more accurate.

FTC wobble goals and rings - all good!

I ordered only a pair of FTC Ultimate Goal wobble goals and 11 foam rings. The goals require assembly, but no instructions or special tools are needed. The fit was very tight, which is good. I did use a block of wood for the final hammering of the plastic studs that secure the flat platform to the round base. The completed units feel solid and unlikely to fall apart under regular use. Overall these simple items were good quality. Shipping was very fast. Thank you AndyMark!
