Viair 90C Air Compressor

These compact compressors and are meant to fill no larger than a 1.0 gallon air tank. These products are used on mobile competition robots and outdoor equipment.

• Manufacturer Specifications as of 2/2020: 1.03 CFM
• Results of 2014 AndyMark bench test for determining CFM rates:

• For this test, flow rate was determined by this calculation:
  • (change of pressure) / 14.7 psi * volume of system / time elapsed
  • For example, at 10 psi:
    • change of pressure = 10 psi
    • volume of system = 0.1095 cubic feet
    • time elapsed = 9 seconds (0.15 minutes)
    • CFM = 10 psi / 14.7 psi * 0.1095 cubic feet / 0.15 minute = 0.50 cfm

• Fill Rate for Number of Clippard tanks (574 ml) to fill from 0 to 110 psi:
• 1 Tank = 34 Seconds
• 2 Tanks = 64 Seconds
• 3 Tanks = 103 Seconds
• 4 Tanks = 140 Seconds
• 5 Tanks = 176 Seconds
