Product Overview

This linear servos operates as a direct replacement for standard analog rotary servos. They use the same standard 3 wire connector, ground power and control. Regardless of how you drive your servos, be it with an RC receiver or an Arduino board, the L16-R servo will function in place of a regular servo, but with the added benefit of providing linear motion. These hobby grade units are constructed using an anodized aluminum shaft, metal gearbox, steel screw and steel ball bearings.

Note:
The command range of the linear servo is different then most servos. Please review the user guide for more details.

Only as good as your mount.

I am happy enough with the product as it performs the operation for linear movement. I would like to see a more robust housing. The plastic is not durable enough. Our team broke the housing mount after three practice matches. We ended up machining aluminum housing that we glued around the plastic housing. With that we were able to make a more secure mount.

    Linear Actuator

The actuator is for very light duty and not very rugged. It's easily broken. However, it does have a fair amount of force.

easy to use for slow application

Works great with FTC servo controller if you have need for linear actuator. We got the faster of the 2 choices and that is still pretty slow (understandably).
