This is the 120 Amp Circuit breaker for FIRST Robotics Competition robots. This product protects your robot or other system from drawing too much current. Of course, we highly recommend using circuit breakers downstream rated for less to protect your motors, speed controllers, and control system components. The waterproof housing is meant to be surface mounted on a rigid element of a robot.

    Very versatile

I recently bought a snowmobile with questionable electronics and a dead battery installed this along with a batter. Within a matter of less than 2 weeks the starter solenoid welded itself shut and because of this little part I was able to shut off the electrical before I ruined my wiring harness any further great product would recommend greatly as it is also waterproof. (The battery on the sled takes a good 15 minutes to dig out from under electronics and the air box)

    "Crap breakers"

"The "120 Amp" limit is ridiculous, and even though these breakers allow us to stretch it, they are too restricting. (AndyMark Response: The FRC program requires a 120 amp breaker between the battery and the robot's controls. We offer this circuit breaker with these specs to help teams stay compliant with their rules. This breaker is not necessarily needed for applications outside of the FIRST Robotics Competition.)"

    quality of material

I hope someone designs a more durable breaker as we have broken the housing on a few over the years as well as the switch itself. The molded plastic seems to be fairly brittle and crack easily.
