Rivet nuts are useful for putting threads in sheet metal or box tubing to attach low load items like panels, and small brackets. They can be installed with our threaded insert tool (am-4364). The tool threads into the nut, and crimps it on either side of the material, locking it in place. Rivet nuts are especially useful when accessing the backside of the joint is difficult. To use this rivet nut, drill a 25/64 inch bit.
