Product Overview
Polycarbonate was invented in 1963 by Dan Fox at General Electric. GE's trade name for this plastic is LEXAN, but it also is sold under other trade names (Makrolon, Hyzod, Cyrolon). This material is NOT plexiglas or acrylic, as we don't suggest that you use that material on a mobile robot, since acrylic will easily shatter.

Easy to use
This stuff is great for sponsor panels and covers. We can easily cut this with scissors and it is really light weight.

just what I needed
I ordered 2' x 2' sheets because I have a face shield pattern and can get 4 shields out of each sheet, and these smaller sheets (smaller than 4' x 8') are much cheaper to ship. The order came quickly and matched what I needed.

Product is very high quality, strong, transparent with no colouration and nicely protected both sides with a peelable film. It was very well packed for shipping. A very good source of a very good product.

Little thin for large unsupported surface
The am-0983 is a little thin for a large piece on your robot with some kind of brace behind it. A smaller piece (lessthan 12" by 12") with side supports would be ok.
