The 2022 FIRST® Robotics Competition RAPID REACT℠ is played with these oversized tennis balls called CARGO, custom modified for FIRST®. CARGO is 9½ in. (~24 cm) in diameter, weighs 9½ oz. (~270 g), and has a fuzz surface. This CARGO gets shipped uninflated. Please see the official FIRST® Robotics Competition game manual for instructions on proper inflation. The oversized tennis balls used as CARGO are not manufactured with tight tolerance. Wall thickness, surface pilling, and shedding may vary. CARGO purchased from a different source may perform differently from this official CARGO. Damage or wear due to robot interaction is not cause for an RMA.
