The most rugged 60A durometer HiGrip ever, is here. The ribs, spokes, and core have increased thickness to handle even more side-load and shock. This six inch diameter wheel has a polycarbonate body and a TPU rubber "HiGrip" tread profile. This wheel features a 60A durometer tread material to provide a more responsive dynamic robot driving experience, greater than our white 6" HiGrip, am-0940b.
We found these wheels are a good balance of tread-wear life and great drivetrain response. In our testing we found that these wheels caused our test robot to respond to changes in robot direction (forward-backward, turning) much faster than the same chassis with white HiGrip wheels. These wheels wear faster than the 80A durometer wheels, however, you trade wear life for an increase in traction. Our testing indicated that these wheels could last most teams a few matches (about a day's worth) under normal circumstances. Some teams may experience faster wear than others. That doesn't mean that they don't make great wheels for other mechanisms!
No bearings or hubs are included in this wheel.
