6 in. HiGrip Wheel, 50A Durometer

The most rugged 50A durometer HiGrip ever, is here. The ribs, spokes, and core have increased thickness to handle even more side-load and shock. This six inch diameter wheel has a polycarbonate body and a TPU rubber "HiGrip" tread profile. This wheel features a 50A durometer tread material to provide a more responsive dynamic robot driving experience, greater than our white 6" HiGrip, am-0940b.
We found these wheels are a good balance of tread-wear life and great drivetrain response. In our testing we found that these wheels caused our test robot to respond to changes in robot direction (forward-backward, turning) much faster than the same chassis with white HiGrip wheels. These wheels wear faster than the 80A durometer wheels, however, you trade wear life for an increase in traction.
In a drivetrain, we feel that these wheels are soft enough to be considered a 'one match wheel.' These wheels are meant to be used in situations where you need the most dynamic traction, such as playing only a defensive role in the finals. We are confident that they will wear out in about 2-3 minutes of aggressive driving when used in a drivetrain. That doesn't mean that they don't make great wheels for other mechanisms! No bearings or hubs are included in this wheel.
