wrong encoder wheel May 17, 2016
Reviewer: Dustin Maki from Rossville, TN United States
My unit arrived with the encoder wheel in the picture, a  DISK2 http://www.usdigital.com/products/encoders/incremental/rotary/disks/DISK-2
That disk does not match the CAD file and cannot be assembled into a working unit with the parts provided.  Upon request, AndyMark quickly sent me the correct HUBDISK2.  http://www.usdigital.com/products/encoders/incremental/rotary/disks/hubdisk-2
Note: HUBDISK2 requires a .050" hex key(not provided) which can be hard to find locally.
Plan the assembly carefully and watch the encoder clearance.  It mounts upside down compared to USDiugital's documents.  The shaft clamp and encoder wheel have to be attached to shaft outside the housing, then have housing slipped over them, then have the encoder screwed down(need clearance for screwdriver).  An alternative if you do not have the required clearance is to drill hex key access holes in the housing.
