Encoder Mounting:

There is some difficulty in mounting an E4P encoder on an encoder mount pad made before January 2012.

Here is a fix for this issue.

Mounting a E4P encoder package (am-0180) into the tight space between the motors is not entirely easy.  With the older version of the Encoder Mount Pad (am-0208), the two mounting holes line up the encoder so that the cable output hits one of the motors.  We have a newer version of this Encoder Mount Pad with two new holes, which allow the encoder to be mounted so that the cable is clear of the motor.  Here is a print for the location of these two new holes.
