The 3/8" hex dimension was closer to 0.378" than 0.375" and with the two effective countersinks at each end of the hex bore, the effective bearing surface for the 3/8 hex shaft is reduced significantly. There was a bit of wobble between the shaft and the 60T gear. We had to peen each side of the Aluminum hex shaft to get a nice press fit.
